ICIT Virtual Briefing: Secure Automation for Mission Readiness

Updated: Feb 11, 2023

Federal agencies have increased focus on Intelligent Automation (IA) and Robotic Processing Automation (RPA) as part of their modernization journey. Many have achieved impactful results from automating countless manual processes, freeing up time to focus on innovation and mission support.

Although mission critical, the acceleration of automation can introduce new security risks and expand the attack landscape. Agencies looking to deploy IA and RPA projects should be aware that these assets are a prime target for attackers and must be securely managed at all times. Improving cybersecurity in a time where Public Sector agencies are seeing record number of cyberattacks is crucial to providing citizen services on-time and securing our nation.

Agencies are best served by integrating a Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution with their RPA deployment. These tools must be built with security at the forefront, without compromising the velocity or productivity of the mission.

During this session, subject matter experts and government leaders will discuss how advanced secrets management best practices enable agencies to accelerate their digital transformation projects. We’ll discuss how to:

  • Centralize secrets management for any type of secret: passwords, keys and tokens, and certificate

  • Maximize existing IT investments while securing next-gen RPA projects

  • Establish a “least privilege” approach to accessing cloud infrastructure

  • Balance RPA, Identity and Security priorities

ICIT Panelists and Contributors:

  • Chris Blakely, Program Manager, NASA

  • Tony Salgado, Sr. Solutions Architect for Beyond Trust

  • Jon Walden, CTO, Blue Prism

  • Moderator: Joyce Hunter, Executive Director, ICIT
